Where Tradition and Technology Change The Game
In 2013, Penn Cove Group (PCG) acquired Cool Springs Driving Range, a well-established sports and entertainment venue in Pittsburgh’s South Hills since 1977. PCG embarked on a comprehensive transformation of the facility and grounds, introducing state-of-the-art amenities to enhance the golfing experience.
A standout feature of the renovation is the implementation of TopTracer technology, making Cool Springs one of the first public driving ranges in the United States to offer this advanced shot-tracking system. Toptracer, renowned for its use on the PGA Tour, provides golfers with real-time ball flight data, enabling detailed analysis and game improvement. This technology also offers interactive games and virtual golf experiences, appealing to both seasoned players and newcomers.
The upgraded Cool Springs Driving Range now boasts a fully turfed, two-story structure with covered, heated, and illuminated bays, allowing year-round practice regardless of weather conditions. The facility also includes an 18-hole miniature golf course, indoor golf simulators, and a pro shop, solidifying its status as a premier destination for golf enthusiasts in the region.
Through PCG’s vision and investment, Cool Springs has evolved into a cutting-edge golf facility, blending technology and tradition to provide an exceptional experience for all visitors.
